About the work
An abstract composition in which a decorative floral ornament enters into dialogue with the broken integrity of the surface. Rhythmically repeated red and lilac forms create the sense of a living, pulsing fabric, while a vertical fracture cuts through the composition, exposing its inner structure.
The line of damage does not destroy the image but becomes its axis — a place of tension and assembly. Ornament, traditionally tied to ideas of beauty and harmony, is inscribed into the zone of rupture, becoming a form of repair and visual “stitching”.
The work explores the fragile balance between decorativeness and trauma, where the surface both conceals and reveals traces of inner experience.
